  • WELCOME!

    My philosophy of "Life, Laughter, and Love" was inspired by my wife when she had it engraved in my wedding ring, always there to remind me what's important. It's also what guides me to capture what I do, when I have a camera in my hand.

    Friends will ask me if I consider it work, but I ask, how can it be? When I am blessed to be able to share such wonderful moments in peoples lives, to be shared forever, I can't call it work, but I can tell you it's the best job in the world. And I would love to share it with you!

I’ve taught classes before, but this was my first “Workshop” for photographers, and we all had a blast!
I say “Workshop” because it was a quasi workshop/shoot-out/portfolio builder experience for photographers: not exactly a CLASS, but more an experience unlike many others! Five BEAUTIFUL women, all life-long friends, had gotten married within the last couple of years. As I was photographing Terese’s wedding this past summer, I heard about their wishes to all get in their dresses one last time, for a few fun photographs…and the idea took flight from there!

So I posted around in some photographer forums seeing who would be interested in joining me, and got 7 of us together to travel to St. Joseph, Michigan for the day! We all shared our knowledge with each other, froze our behinds off (Late October on the beach…but these girls were troopers and up for anything!), and had MORE than a couple laughs with our gorgeous models…and their moms! (traveling stylists?)

Here are a collection of my favourites from the day. I will put up my shots first, and then in a separate post, I will spotlight some of the work from the other photographers who came to shoot alongside me!

Thank you to all of the photographers who came along, and the Five beautiful brides who hopefully have a day (and photos) they will remember and treasure for the rest of their lives!

It was a wonderful night when Debra and John confirmed their love in front of their family and friends, all at their house to celebrate together! It was a beautiful night, and even though I was just meeting them for the first time, their family treated me like one of their own…so I knew right away what a special group I was with! Mitch was honestly one of the easiest senior guys I had ever worked with! He took me around the farm he works at to some cool areas, wasn’t shy, and we had ideal weather – oh, he also had a shutgun and a ghili suit with bow+arrow for hunting, but we took all proper precautions with them and just had fun. (Mom and Dad were with us cheering him on!)
