Derek Cookson is a man with a camera. Originally forged in the fires of Canada, he now resides in Royal Oak, Michigan, where he operates his small studio and photography business, DCooksonPhoto.com. Above shooting weddings and portraits, he has had pictures published on the cover of books, teaches photography classes at a local camera store, and is a graphic designer for an apparal company.

My style is more photo-journalistic, as I want to share with anyone the feeling of the day as if they were right there, share the laughter of the moment, and experience the vibrance that inspired us to capture it in the first place!
