These two are some of my FAVOURITE kids to spend time with, partly because their parents are some of the coolest people I know! (I would say Cleopatra is precocious, but I’d be afraid she’d correct my spelling. *rimshot*). For the second year in a row, I was invited to take some photos of these cuties in costume as an early preview of how awesome Halloween will be this year! Cleopatra and her Mummy…look out world!

      Becky and Jeff’s wedding was a day of fun and dancing…with a little dash of bowling sprinkled in for good measure! From heading out to do some Cosmic Bowling at a local bowling alley (Jeff has bowled over a dozen perfect 300 games!), to the Mirage Banquet Hall in Sterling Heights, the day was rocking! With a smile that lights up the room, Becky (Who owns and runs a Dance Studio) married her sweetheart Jeff on a beautiful sunny day, and EVERYONE came out to party! You weren’t there? I’ve known the Turner family for going on 20 years now, so when I was asked to shoot their family photos, I was incredibly honoured! It was like reuniting with long-lost friends….and everyone was full of smiles and laughter, my favourite combination! It was a beautiful day in LaSalle, Ontario, at old Brunet Park, and honestly, I couldn’t tell who was having more fun…me or them! Here’s a sneak preview of some of my faves from the session! Paee and Kham were married in their traditional Hmong Wedding a year ago, and they invited me along to share in their “Western” wedding, or as some would call it, your Big-Huge-Fun-Fantastic-Asian-Party! Held at the Sterling Heights Best Western, the sprinkles of rain outside did not stop us from heading to the Partridge Creek Outdoor Mall for some fun photo opportunities, and then back to the hotel so everyone could get their dance on….and Dance they did! I have honestly never seen a DJ setup like DJ 360 Sounds, and they kept the party pumping all night, packing the dancefloor with a mix of singing traditional songs, and modern dance hits. When I first met Amber for her high school senior photo session, I was struck by one feature of hers: She has such a beautiful smile! Along with her sister Laura, we decided to shoot in downtown Rochester Hills, a place I love to shoot in, so I couldn’t have been more delighted! What a perfect match it turned out to be!
