It went like this:<\/p>\n<p>W: &#8220;Hey D-money, got a new gig to play in&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>D: &#8220;Cool&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>W: &#8220;S&#8217;called &#8216;The Catfish Project&#8217;, ya dig?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>D: &#8220;Cool&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>W: &#8220;Need some shots to make us look good&#8230;you down?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>D: &#8220;Cool.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>*click*<\/p>\n<p>Ok, so maybe it didn&#8217;t go EXACTLY as hip as that, but you get the gist. (I am much more verbose in person..) But the basic behind it was that I was going to get to take 3 ordinary guys in a blues-rock band, go out in -7 degree, knee-deep-snow weather early on a Sunday morning and try to make them look good. I had my work cut out for me&#8230; (Kidding, these guys are great to work with.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" mce_style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-111 aligncenter\" title=\"catfishproject003\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject003.jpg\" mce_src=\"http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject003.jpg\" alt=\"catfishproject003\" height=\"800\" width=\"534\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject003.jpg 534w, http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject003-333x500.jpg 333w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 534px) 100vw, 534px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We began by starting out on the railroad tracks nearby, but after nearly being run over by a train (who knew?!), we quickly packed up and brought our numb bodies into downtown Royal Oak to try a more &#8220;urban&#8221; look to some of the pictures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-112\" title=\"catfishproject002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject002.jpg\" mce_src=\"http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject002.jpg\" alt=\"catfishproject002\" height=\"534\" width=\"800\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject002.jpg 800w, http:\/\/www.dcooksonphotoblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/catfishproject002-500x333.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Between huddling inside the truck to warm between locations and takes, we had our shots and were done with the outdoors for the time being. Heading back to Will&#8217;s house, we conceived a plan for something close up, something personal.
